Details: This highly collectable Omega watch was the brands first waterproof standard production model. It also featured their first central sweep second hand movement.
Prior models that displayed seconds would have a small sub-seconds dial that was much harder to read. The ability to take more accurate timing with the larger second hand made this watch popular with doctors and nurse and also in military applications during WWII.
The presence of the original supplying jeweller's name 'Rattray & Co. Dundee' on the dial adds an extra level of appeal to this historically significant watch.
